Mrs. Elizabeth (Betty) Hoisington (widow o Frank), North Shores, age 80, passed away peacefully Saturday morning Nov28, 2009 at her home. She was born Jun 15, 1929 in Muskegon to Amos and Marion (Weir) Judd, and lived here all her life. On Sep 11, 1948 she married Frank J Hoisington and he died Mar 28, 1992.
Betty had worked as a cook at both Hile School and Maranatha.
Survivors include three daughters: Sharon (Walter) Riley of Norton Shores, Linda (John H) Mahoney of Montague, and Debbie (Terry Scofield) Madole of Norton Shores; seven grandchildren: Rebecca (Nico), Michael, Frank, Andrew, Nicholas, Meghan and Matthew; four great grandchildren: Lynsey, Cheyenne, Alexis, and Stephen; brothers, Don (MaryLou) and Bob (Bernice); sisters, Lois (Jerry) Sattory and Mae Knoya; a sister in law, Eloda (Jack) Erickson; and a brother in law, Ed (Phyllis) Hoisington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, infant son, Robert Lee Hoisington, and siblings, Bill, Mary, and Jack.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hoisington will begin 11 am Wed, Dec 2, 2009 at The Lee Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100 with her nephews, Pastor Greg Ferris officiating and interment in Norton Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 10 to 11 am Wed morning. Memorial contributions can be made to your favorite charity in memory of Betty.
