Child Drowned- On Monday, a little daughter of Alexander Clapsaddle, of Davisville, aged 8 years, went berrying, as she remained away until late in the afternoon, the parents became anxious and a search was instituted. As the search was not successful and the child did not return, a large number of people renewed the search all day Tuesday. It was supposed that she might have attempted to cross the river on the logs and had fallen in . Acting upon this theory, the water was let off from the dam and the river dragged. About 5 o’clock her body was found a short distance above the dam, and near a boom stretching across the river, upon which it is supposed she attempted to cross.
