Eldon W. Felker, age 88, of Sandusky, passed away Friday, Dec. 3, 2004 in Marlette Hospice.
He was born Dec. 22, 1915 in Elk Twp., son of the late Russell and Cora (Snell) Felker.
He married Dorothy (Irving) Felker on July 8, 1939 in Sandusky.
Mr. Felker worked at the Sandusky Republican Tribune for 29 years and a publisher for 16 years. He was a life long member of the Eastern Star, Sandusky chapter O.E.S. #273.
Eldon was a member of the Custer Masonic Lodge #393 F &AM; R.A.M. No. 145; Shriners Club; Lions Club; Chamber of Commerce; Sandusky Flying Club; a member of the Sandusky First United Methodist Church; and was instrumental in starting the Career Center.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Felker; one daughter, Judy (Jack) Dixon of Sandusky; three grandchildren, William (Terry) Dixon of Sandusky, Michael (Michelle) Dixon of West Branch, Kristie (Clint) Jackson of Sandusky; seven great-grandchildren, Philip, Chelsea, Michael, jack and Olivia Dixon, Kaitlin and Nicklas Jackson; one brother, Kenneth Felker of Sandusky; one sister-in-law, Bonnie (Art) Brown of Yale; and several nieces and nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Rock, Earl and Pural Felker.
Visitation will be 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Hacker Funeral Parlors, Sandusky. O.E.S #273 services will be 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Hacker Funeral Parlors, Sandusky. Pastor John Grenfell of Fort Gratiot, will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Sandusky.
