Eileen R. Dibble, 58, of Kalkaska passed away peacefully on Sun, May 22, 2006, in Gladwin.
She was born on Aug 15, 1947, in Mount Pleasant, the daughter of the late Clarence and Dorothy (Wyant) Smith.
Eileen was the beloved mother of Scott L (Tammy) Dibble of Sanford, NC; the loved grandmother of Abby, Matt, Ethan, and Lucas; and loved sister of Eleanor (Buck) Southwell of Gladwin.
Eileen married Alonzo "Chuck" Dibble on Dec 26, 1969, in Mt Pleasant and he preceded her in death in 1994.
She was a resident of Kalkaska for the past 10 years, moving from Dimondale. Eileen was a member of the Bear Lake Christian Church and the Eagles. She was a volunteer for North Country Hospice for many years.
Eileen enjoyed "playing in the dirt" and seeing what she could grow, sewing quilts and purses, visiting Mackinaw and was an advocate for volunteering to help. She was very proud of her family and her grandchildren.
The funeral service celebrating her life was held on Sat, May 27, at the Bear Lake Christian Church. The Rev. David Rosenberg officiated. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.
