Edward W. "Dud" Campbell Jr, 66, of Traverse City, passed away at Munson Medical Center on Mar 10, 2002. He was born Oct 13, 1935 in Marine City, the son of Edward and Marjorie (Brown) Campbell Sr.
Dude married Betty J Robertson on Nov 5, 1993, in Marine City. He retired from Consumers Power in Jan 1995 after 30 years of service. Dude was a resident of Traverse City since 1973 after moving from Marine City. He was a past member of the Kalkaska Fire Department and past president of Marine City Little League Association.
Dude is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 18 years, Betty; children, Keith M (Kathy) Campbell of Kalkaska, Mark E (Yvette) Campbell of Gladwin, Julianne A (Tim) Shannon of Elk Rapids, Blaine M (Camille) Campbell of Anchorage, AK, Stephanie L (Barry) Havens of Interlochen, Anita J (Edward) Wiltse of Lake Ann, and Eric C (Megan) Campbell of Traverse City; stepchildren Deborah J Koch of Charlotte, Darlene (Jeff) Howard of Brighton, Diane (Neil) Washburn of Olean, NY, and James (Kim) Beattie of Spring Lake; and 23 grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Wed, Mar 13 from 2 until 8 pm, and Thu, Mar 14 from 9 am until the funeral service at 11 am at Wolfe Funeral Home. Rev Paul Karges from Peoples Church in Kalkaska will be officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Marine City.
Memorials may be given in behalf of Dude Campbell to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements were made by Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska.
