Edward E Beltinck, 61, of Kalkaska, passed away on Dec 27, 2007, in Oakland Country, as a result of natural causes. Born on May 23, 1946, in Mt Pleasant, he is the son of the late Joseph and Arlene (McBride) Beltinck.
Ed was a veteran serving our country in the US Marines during the Vietnam War. Ed married Irene M Sytek on Jan 9, 1970, in Mt Pleasant. Together they have been residents of Kalkaska and Rapid City since 1972. Ed retired from Shell Oil in Kalkaska and was currently employed at Magnum Solvent. He enjoyed his yearly vacation with his famil, camping at Lake Magarethe, boating at Torch Lake, and golfing. Ed was always willing to help anyone who needed a hand.
Ed is survived by his loving family, Irene, his wife of 37 years; his children, Michelle (Reggie) Horning of Traverse City, Kristina (Bill) Watson of Richmond, VA, and Kimberly Beltinck of Chicago, IL; his grandchildren, Stephanie and Lauren Horning; his sisters, Bonnie (Brian) Paige of Alden, Peggy (Jeff) Ream of Linden, and Sueann (Ken) Tester of Fenton; his brother in laws, Frank (Karen) Sytek and John Sytek of Mt Pleasant; and many nieces and nephews.
Ed was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Williams, nephew Jerry Meader, and his parents.
Visitation was on Sun, Dec 30, from 5 to 7 pm at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial was on Mon, Dec 31 at St Mary of the Woods in Kalkaska with Reverend James Barrand officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.
