Mrs. Edna Raftery, 62, of 424 Rose St, Traverse City, died early Fri afternoon at Munson Hospital after an extended illness.
Mrs. Raftery was born Mar 2, 1899 at Stittsville, the daughter of William and Lucretia Clark, and was married to Meredith C. Raftery in Detroit. For much of her life she lived in Dearborn, moving to Traverse City in 1951, where she was a member of Asbury Methodist Church.
Surviving are the husband; three daughters, Mrs. Burton (Shirley) Bancroft of Stockton, CA, Mrs. Ralph (Clarice) McNabb of Traverse City, and Mrs. John (Mary Lou) Rockefellow of Detroit; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Flossie Hager of Fife Lake, and Mrs. Clare (Dorothy) Milliken of Kalkaska; three brothers, Russell Clark of Cadillac, Forest Clark of Mount Pleasant, and Morris of Fife Lake; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Tue at Fife Lake Methodist Church, Rev. Gerald Jacobs officiating, with burial in Clark Cemetery, Fife Lake.
