Edith M. Shephard, age 105, formerly from Brown City, died July 6, 2006 in Grand Blanc.
She was born November 3, 1900 in Flynn Township of Sanilac County to Issac and Charity Clark.
She graduated from Brown City High School and attended Ypsilanti Normal School in Ypsilanti. Edith taught school in the Brown City area until she married Otis Shephard and they lived many years in the Flint.
A housewife, mother and grandmother, Edith was a long time member of the Calvary Methodist Church in Flint and the Women’s Church Circle. She spent many winters in Mesa, Arizona.
She is survived by three children Jean Johnson of Mesa, Arizona, Donna (Robert) Robinson of Gainesville, TX, and Wayne (Linda) Shephard of Goodrich; nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Edith was preceded in death by her husband; a brother, Roy Clark; and four sisters, Laura, Ina, Emma, and Delia.
A gathering for family and friends will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at Carman Funeral Home in Brown City.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor McCallum officiating and burial to follow at Omard Cemetery.
