Edith M Drogosch, 85, died Fri, Sep 4, at her home on Starvation Lake.
Edie was born May 12, 1924, in Millersburg, MI, the daughter of Edward and Rose (Rouleau) Walter.
Edie grew up in Millerburg and graduated from Onaway High School.
She was an avid horsewoman and was also one of two female pilots in the state of Michigan in the 1940s.
She moved to Detroit at an early age, marrying Edward J Drogosch, Jr on Jun 29, 1946.
Edie and Ed owned and operated Ed's Hideway Bar on Starvation Lake, from 1972 until 1987.
Edie enjoyed the company of family and friends. She will be missed and forever loved by her fie children: Don (Ellen) Drogosch of Livonia, Doug (Kaye) Drogosch of Jackson, Bob (Melinda) of Beverly Hills, Sue Hand of Starvation Lake and Ed Drogosch III (Kim) of Livonia. Also, missing Edie will be four grandchildren, Brad, Joel, Eric, and Dustin.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward, her parents, and 11 siblings.
Funeral services were held Wed, Sep 9, at 11 am at the St Anthony Catholic Church in Mancelona.
The Rev. Dale Magoon officiated the proceedings.
Edie's family received friends Tue, Sep 8, from 5 - 9 pm at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
A prayer service was also held Tue evening at 7 pm at the funeral home.
