Edith M "Molly" Davenport, 89, went home to be with the Lord Dec 17, 1997.
Mrs. Davenport was born Aug 6, 1908 in Lucan, Ont, Canada to George and Gertrude (Hammond) Betts. She moved to Port Huron at age 14, later becoming an American citizen. In 1930 she married Alec Schwenk. On Jul 27, 1950 she married Frank Davenport, who preceded her in death in 1988.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, David and Darlene Davenport of South Boardman; daughters Mrs. Jennie Forstner of Kalkaska and Mrs. Eileen Moran of Aurora, CO; stepson and daughter in law Kenneth and Sue Davenport of Alvin, TX; sister Lena Gardner and sister in law Ruby Betts, both of Port Huron; 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by daughter Lois two brothers and four sisters.
Graveside services were held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Port Huron, with a memorial service planned for spring.
