Mrs. Edith I Haskin, 86, of Fife Lake, died Tue, Sep 23, 1997 at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mrs. Haskin spent her early years in the Fife Lake area adn then moved to Grand Rapids, where she lived for 20 years. She returned to Fife lake in 1975. She was a member of the Boardman Area Senior Citizens Club and the Fife Lake Baptist Church.
Mrs. Haskin was born in Kalkaska County on Oct 29, 1910, to Clarence and Emma Frances (Simpson) Barber. On Dec 11, 1926, in Kalkaska County, she married Erwin Haskin, who preceded her in death on Jan 14, 1982.
Surviving are sons Albert (Marilyn) Haskin of Englewood, FL, and Kenneth (Nancy) Haskin of Marne; daughters Dorothy Clark and Betty (Mike) Blake of Kalkaska, Louise (Dick) Norman of Manton and Gloria (Joe) Baltierrez of Venice, FL; 18 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren.
A son, Raymond, four grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Friday at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Pastor Dan Revoir officiated. Burial was in Clark Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
