Earl Leroy Foland, 89, of Dresden, died Thur, Jan 27, 2011 at Parkway Regional Hospital, Fulton, KY.
Graveside services were held at 11am Mon at Sunset Cemetery with Bro. Mark Earheart officiating with Bowlin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Joe B. Freeman, James Butts, Charles Smith, Richard Baker, Tim Kemp, Robert Buckley, Jackie Darnell and Horace Harper served as pallbearers.
Foland was born February 11, 1921 in Perry, MI, son of the late Earl and Anna Parker Foland. He was a WWII Navy veteran, a printer and teacher for the Weakley County Vocational School, a member of the American Legion Post 94, past member of Dresden Elks Lodge and a Methodist.
Survivors include, his wife, Mrs. Joan Kemp Foland of Dresden; one daughter and son in law, Roberta Ann and Charles Rish of Puryear; three stepdaughters, Jo Robbin Buckley of Dresden, Christie and Richard Baker of Dyersburg and Camille Kemp of Franklin; two sons and one daughter in law, Earl Everette Foland of Gleason, Charles Martin and Carmen Foland of Malta, Europe; one stepson, Timothy Kemp of Paris; one half brother and sister in alw, Eddie and Arlene Foland of Ashley, MI; one step brother, Calvin Space of Grand Ledge, MI; 10 grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
He was also proceded in death by three brothers.
