Earl D. Britzenhoff, 68, of Kalkaska, passed away on May 12, 2002, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. He was born May 2, 1934 in New Berlinville, PA, the son of Paul R and Grace (Sell) Britzenhoff.
Earl married Myrtle L Elgin on Jun 9, 1955 in Easley, SC.
He was a veteran of the US Navy. Earl was a member of the Moose Lodge of Mancelona, Kalkaska VFW Post 8684, American Military League in Traverse City, and the Beebe Sherwood Post 480 of the American Legion in Kalkaska.
Earl was an avid golfer, enjoyed hunting and yard work.
Earl is survived by his loving family including his wife Myrtle of 46 years; children Paul Daniel "Danny" Britzenhoff of Easley, SC, Earl Daniel (Charlotte) Britzenhoff of Kalkaska, Sandra J (Bill) Allen of Alba, Stuart R Britzenhoff of Northville, Bonnie F (Curt) Reinhold of Hesperia; 12 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers, George and Melvin; sisters, Claire, Jeanette, Joanie, Lulu, and Charlotte.
Earl was predeceased by his parents and sister, Marion.
Visitation will be on Wed, May 15, from 5 to 9 pm at the Wolfe Funeral Home.
The funeral will be conducted on Thu at 11 am at the funeral home with the Rev. Harry L Perkins of the Lenhardt Christian Fellowship officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska. Military honors will be provided by the VFW Post 8684.
Memorials may be given to the family of Earl Britzenhoff.
