Douglas Wayne Bronson, 72, of Williamsburg, passed on Tue, Sep 29 at the Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
He was born Sep 15, 1937, in Whittemore, MI to the late Glen and Gertrude (Gay) Bronson.
Douglas married Evelyn Noble on June 1, 1985 in Kalkaska.
They moved to Williamsburg in 2002. Douglas was the owner of Bronson Production and was also a member of the American Petroleum Institute for 20 years.
Douglas was a member of the Faith Reformed Church.
He loved the outdoors and enjoyed golfing, hunting, and fishing. One of his favorite activities was boating in Charlevoix with family and friends. Douglas wintered in Naples, FL for the last 13 years.
Surviving Douglas is his devoted wife of 24 years, Evelyn; his daughter, Kelly Shelder of Kalkaska; his cherished grandchildren, Lindsey (Jim) Mallory, Miranda (Brent) Lucyk, and Nicole Martin; his precious great grandchildren, Kayleb, Madison, and Aiden Mallory; his sister, Sandy White of Whittemore; sisters in law, Lucy (Bruce) Askin and Arlene (Robert) Krause; mother in law, Norean White; close family and friends., Vida Ascione and family; and his sweet pet yorkie, Hattie Douglas is additionally survived by several nieces and nephews.
Douglas was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Carole Bronson; his sister, Norma Bronson; and his nephew, Mitch White.
Visitation for Douglas was held Fri, Oct 2 from 4 to 9 pm at the Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home.
The funeral services were Sat at 11 am at the Faith Reformed Church in Traverse City - with Pastor Scott Bills officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
