Dorothy Wilbur DeYoung, 89, a resident of the Hills at Avery Creek in Arden, NC, died November 2, 1998 at Memorial Mission Hospital.
She was born in Grand Rapids, MI to Clyde Wesley and Blanche Morrison Wilbur. Mrs. DeYoung was am other and homemaker. She was the widow of the late Jack DeYoung who died in 1991.
Survivors include a daughter, DeLayne D. Rogers, Ashville, NC; son Donn (Angeneita) DeYoung, Grand Haven, MI; sisters, Mrs. Harold Boer, Grand Haven; grandsons, Bruce (Laura) Rogers, Asheville; Jack Rogers, Asheville; Rick Rogers, Colorado; Donn (Sara) DeYoung, Jr., Apex, NC, Derk (Barbara) DeYoung, Marietta, GA, David (Janet) DeYoung, Eddy, TX; granddaughter, DeLayne DeYoung, Elkhardt, IN and a number of great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Padgett & King Mortuary of Forest City, NC.
