Dorothy R. Blaisdell, 81, of Kalkaska, passed away on Thu, Aug 19, 2010 at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center - LTC. She was born on Nov 14, 1929 in Kalkaska to the late Ferman and Maude (Dietz) Waltz.
Dorothy married Leo Blaisdell on Jan 4, 1946 in Cadillac. Her hobbies included vegetable and flower gardening and collecting hummingbirds. Dorothy retried from the Dura factory in Mancelona. She will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved her.
Dorothy is survived by her loving children, Leo "Floyd" (Sharon) Blaisdell of Kalkaska and Debbie (Eric Wildman) Cone of Houston, TX; her cherished grandchildren, Dr. Chelsea (Jason) Gray, Alicia Cone, Mark (Marge) Blaisdell, Kevin Blaisdell, Edson Blaisdell, and Shelly (Bill) Berkshire; 10 precious great grandchildren; and her brothers, Ferman (Hide) Waltz, and Edward (Mary Ellen) Waltz.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leo who passed away on Aug 16, 2010, and her siblings, Virgie Chimiel, Ralph Waltz, and Eleanor Barber.
Visitation will be held on Fri, Aug 20, from 6 to 9 pm at the Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home. The funeral will be on Sat at 10 am at the funeral home with Reverend Ted Turanski officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
