Mrs. Dorothy E. Stoops, 82, of Kalkaska, died Wed, Fri 10, 1999, at Munson Medical Center.
Mrs. Stoops was born in Trumbull County, Ohio, on Dec 19, 1916, the daughter of William and Katherine Rese. On Mar 15, 1961, in Washtenaw County, she married Lawrence Stoops.
Dorothy resided in Kalkaska for the past 33 years, and formerly served as Kalkaska Village Treasurer. She enjoyed weaving and sewing.
Surviving are her husband Lawrence; brother Jack Rese of Dearborn, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be planned at a later date.
