Dorothy D Ostun, 81, a resident of Traverse City since 1989, died Feb 7, 2001, at her home.
Mrs. Ostun was a resident of Allen Park for 19 years prior to moving to Kalkaska in 1973. She was a member of the Kalkaska United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing the organ, working outside and baking. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, and will be missed by her family.
She was born in Beltrami, MN on Feb 24, 1919, to Edward and Lillian Burk Reep. She married Henry Ostun in Chicago on Feb 24, 1947.
Surviving are husband Henry; daughters, Sandra Endicott of Laurel, MD, Sherry Cabral of Williamsburg, and Sharon (Gerald) Beebe of Kalkaska; sister, Fern Bellas of Oaklawn, IL; grandchildren, David Cabral of Dearborn, Michelle Cabral of Belleville and Wesley Hutchinson of Rockwood; four great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A brother Verle Reep, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were Feb 10 at the Kalkaska United Methodist Church; Rev. Bob Stark officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
Memorial gifts may be directed to Munson Hospice or the Kalkaska United Methodist Church.
