Dorothea Barbara Pordon, 80, of Kalkaska, died Aug 25, 2001, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center in Kalkaska.
Mrs. Pordon was born in Howesville, WV, Mar 12, 1921, daughter of the late Ignatius Szostak and Bernice Kania Szpak. On Aug 5, 1938, she married George F. Pardon.
The couple moved to Kalkaska in 1974 from Southfield and have been members of St Mary of the Woods Catholic Church.
Surviving are beloved husband George; son, Ronald (Elizabeth) of Southfield; grandchildren Anne Marie, Gregory, Rebecca, Patrick, Joseph, and Jane; and sister, Virginia Wakulski of Warren.
Visitation was Aug 27, with a Mass of Christian Burial on Aug 28 at St Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Kalkaska; Father Jim Holtz officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska. Arrangements were made by Wolfe Funeral Home.
