Doris A. Kusch, 75, of Kalkaska passed away Apr 1, 2003, at the Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
She was born Mar 4, 1928, in Bad Axe, the daughter of Charles and Jessie (Couper) Murdoch.
Doris married Donald A. Kusch on Jun 10, 1950, in Saginaw. They were residents of Kalkaska since 1973. Doris was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kalkaska, where she enjoyed participating in the choir, hand bell choir, ladies auxiliary, Altar Guild and taught Monday school. She was also a founder of Grand Traverse Highlanders Pipe Band, playing the bagpipes and was the secretary of the group.
Surviving are her children, Connie (Eugene) Bielby of Waterbury, Conn, and David (Raeann) Kusch of Livonia; grandchildren, Rick, Tiffany, and Remington; and brother, Charles (Claire) Murdoch of South Windsor, Conn.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Donald.
The funeral service was conducted Apr 5 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Kalkaska. The Rev. Ted Turanski officiated. Interment was Apr 7 at Roselawn Cemetery in Saginaw with a chapel service.
