Donna Louise Green, age 66, a resident of the Grand Traverse Pavilions, formerly of Thompsonville, passed away on Monday, Oct. 10, 2011. She was born on March 8, 1945, in Traverse City, to the late Louis and Maybelle (Frank) Flees.
Donna married Jerry Otis Green on Dec. 14, 1963, in Traverse City. They were married for 41 wonderful years when he passed away in June of 2005.
Donna was retired and enjoyed bird-watching, reading and doing crafts.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Maybelle M. Green, of Thompsonville, and Theresa (Kelly) Metcalf, of Kingsley; her six cherished grandchildren, Jerry, Shawn, Cory, Josh, Brandon and Kaitlyn; her granddaughter-in-law, Samantha; her dear sisters and brother, Josie (Paul) Martin, Shirley Kukla, Mary Dauthrich and Louis (Evie) Flees; and several nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents and her dear husband, Jerry.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, Oct. 14, 2011, at 11 a.m., at Oakwood Cemetery in Traverse City, with Linda Reed officiating.
