Donald Lee Hawkins, 59, of Dover passed away on Jul 27, 2016 at home.
Mr. Hawkins had formerly worked in the print department of the Delaware State News. He enjoyed fishing, going to the beach, and NASCAR. Mr. Hawkins was a Disney fan and enjoyed going to amusement parks.
Mr. Hawkins is survived by his wife of 33 years, Deborah June (Ward) Hawkins; three children: Amber Lynn Cacace and her husband Philip Stoerger of Rockledge, FL, Christopher Allen Ward of Dover, and Kerri Elizabeth Brooke and her husband Daniel of Dover; his mother, Mildred Hawkins of Lapeer, MI; two sisters: Yvonne Kalbfleisch and her husband Ed of Brown City, MI and Susan Kirback and her husband Jon of Lapeer, MI; two brothers, James Hawkins and his significant other Dawn of Columbia, TN and Ray Hawkins and his wife Lavonya of Greenville, AL; his mother in law, Geraldine C. Ward of Preston, MD and his brother in law, James E. Ward, II of Preston, MD; three grandchildren: Giuseppe Cacace of Rockledge, FL, Wyatt Smallwood of Rockledge, FL and Blake Brooke of Dover; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members; and his Shihtzu Sammie. He was preceded in death by his father James Hawkins and his sister, Cherri Wilson.
A Celebration of Life will be 3 pm Sat, Jul 30, 2016 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Ave, Wyoming, DE 19934 where there will be a viewing from 1 to 3 pm Saturday. Friends are welcome to gather at Camden Wyoming Fire Hall immediately following the service. Burial will be private.
