Donald L. Warner, 71, of Traverse City, formerly of Rapid City, died Thursday, July 13, 2006, at Birchwood Nursing Center in Traverse City.
Don was born Oct. 7, 1934, in Barker Creek the son of George and Bertha (Udell) Warner.
He worked for 25 years for the Elk Rapids Public Schools as a custodian.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Albert, Bob and Ivan, and sisters Erma Henderson, Marcellene Udell and Evelyn Udell.
Surviving are six children, 1) Terry Rau (John Willis) of Locust, N.C., 2) Trina (Jeff) Winkel of Williamsburg, 3) Mary (Bill) DePeel of Rapid City, 4) Dawn Comment of Charlotte, N.C., 5_ Julie (Mark) Stevens of East Jordan, 6_ Andy (Tonya) Warner of Rapid City, two brothers, George of Arizona, Raymond of Rapid City, two sisters, Dolly Henderson of Grand Rapids, Mary Ann (Douglas) Carothers of California, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 15, 2006, at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes, with the Rev. Mary Brown officiating. Interment was in Clearwater Township Cemetery, Rapid City.
