Donald L Scheuerman, 73, of Kalkaska, passed away on Fri, Jul 2, 2010 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. He was born on May 22, 1937 in Alexander, KS, the son of the late Conrad and Rosa (Matal) Scheuerman.
Don married JoAnn Schulz on Dec 9, 1956 in Jetmore, KS. He was one of the original men that started in the oil fields in Kalkaska. Don retired from Scheuerman Oil Services after 47 years as the owner. Don had a great sense of humor, love of life, and animals, and always had a smile and twinkle in his eyes. He truly loved his grandchildren and spending time with them.
Surviving Don are his children, Patricia K (Edward) Borstel of Traverse City, Donald Lee (Stacy Ann Cleveland) Scheuerman Jr of Leesburg, VA, Roger D. (Kathy Lynn) Scheuerman of Traverse City, and Craig J (Michelle) Scheuerman of Falls Church, VA; his grandchildren, Jacob and Corey Thomas, Kelly, Ryan, and Cody Scheuerman, Delaney, Carson, Campbell, Casey Scheuerman, Elizabeth and Hannah Borstel; and his great grandchildren, Zacary, Skye, and Elizabeth; his siblings, Mary Ann Prose of Chetopa, KS, ARlyn (Carol) Scheuerman of Great Bend, KS.
Preceding Don in death was his beloved wife, JoAnn; four sisters, and 16 brothers.
Visitation will be Mon, Jul 5, from 6 to 9 pm at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Tue at 11 am at the funeral home with Dan Johnson from the Kalkaska Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
