Donald K Watkins, 67, of Kalkaska died on Sun, Jun 12, 2005, at his home following a short battle with cancer.
He was born on Feb 23, 1938, in Mancelona, the son of Leslie and Vada (Howell) Watkins.
He was the founder of the Watkins Boyz Kustom Cycles of Kalkaska. He had a special love and passion for motorcycles and cars and was an avid reader and spent a lot of time tinkering in his shop.
On Jun 9, 1958, he married Marilyn Root who survives.
Also surviving are four children, Kim (Steve) Eiseler of Phoenix, AZ, Krick Kniss of Kalkaska, Kip Watkins of Kalkaska, Lisa (Terry) Schram of Mancelona; three brothers, Jerry (Pat) Watkins of Brighton, Versal "Butch" (Nancy) Watkins of Mancelona, Leonard (Margaret) Watkins of Mancelona; three sisters, Jenny (Don) Miller of Kalkaska, Sherry (Randy) Windish of Kalkaska and Arlyn Harris of Mancelona; eight grandchidlren; two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
Memorial services were held on Sat, Jun 18, at 11 am at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Pastor James Sanderson officiated.
Interment will take place in Fairview Cemetery in Mancelona.
