Donald E. Chandler
Melvin – Donald E. Chandler, 50, of 8021 Shephard Road, died Sat, Mar 7, 1981, in Lapeer General Hospital from complications from a stroke he suffered January 11, 1981.
Mr. Chandler was born September 18, 1930 in Brown City. He graduated from Brown City High School in 1949. He served in the Navy during the Korean conflict. He worked at the Chrysler Missile Plant in Warren.
He married Lila Cronce January 6, 1952, in Port Huron.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Sgt. Michael Chandler, US Air Force, Denver, CO, Jeffrey of Ironwood, and Jason of Melvin; his father, Lee Chandler of Brown City; a brother, Bernard of Rose City; a sister, Mrs. Eugene (Judy) Wilcox of Brown City; and five grandchildren.
Services were held in the Calvary Baptist Church, Brown City. The Rev. Robert McDonald, the church’s Pastor officiated.
Burial was in Valley Center Cemetery.
