Donald D. Ormsby, 75, of Bluffton passed away at his residence on May 29, 2016 at 3:10pm. Don was born in Bluffton on Feb 20, 1941 to James and Lela (Elzey) Ormsby.
Don attended the Bluffton High School. On Feb 2, 1963 Donald and Sandra Blair were married at the Bluffton Nazarene Church. Don had worked for the family business, Ormsby Trucking for 35 years where he had been a driver, dispatcher, and mechanic. Don was a member of the Wells County Genealogy Society, the Adams Co. Coin Club, and the Indianapolis Post Card Club.
Donald and Sandra are members of Life Church.
Don is survived by his wife, Sandra Ormsby of Bluffton, daughter, Laurie (Kurt) Hotz of Columbia City, son, James (Tammy) Ormsby of Columbia City, son, Greg (Laura) Ormsby of Columbia City, daughter, Dawn Renee Ormsby of Bluffton, daughter, Kelly (Tim) Williams of Bluffton, son, Eric Ormsby of FL, 10 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Von, Max, Bob and Wendell, sister, Ruth Bates and great granddaughter, Arianna Hontz. A visitation will be held at the Thoma-Rich, Lemler Funeral Home, Bluffton on Jun 1, 2016 from 4-8pm. A funeral service will be held on Jun 2, 2016 at 11am with Pastor Steve Surbaugh officiating. Calling will also take place one hour prior to service. Memorials may be made in memory of Don to the Family Life Care or Friends Who Care. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Thoma- Rich, Lemler Funeral Home.
