Donald C. Huffman, 78, of Fife Lake and formerly of Brown City, passed away Monday, Nov 8, 2010.
Don was born on July 30, 1932, in Imlay City, to Clarence and Mildred Huffman. He graduated from Sandusky High School, Class of 1952.
Don served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict, and married Pauline Clapsaddle on Aug 16, 1958.
A retired home builder, Don had worked for General Motors and Forest Area Community Schools as well. He valued hard work and was truly a one-of-a-kind man.
He was a member of the V.F. W. in Fife Lake and was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardner, passing on his love of the outdoors to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with whom he loved spending time.
Don is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Pauline; four children, Donald (Carla) Huffman, Kathryn (Steven) Voice, Darcy (Beth) Huffman, all of Fife Lake, and George Huffman, of Brown City; nine grandchildren, Ryan and Mitchell Voice, Donald, Eric, Bradley Huffman, Rachel Helsel, Alicia Huffman, Stephanie and Nathan Cunningham; three great-grandchildren, Braydon and Jewel Huffman, and Michael Helsel; and a brother Charles (Helen) Huffman.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Bernadette Spokaski and Alma Detvay.
