Don R. Harrison, 61, of Colon, died Aug 1, 2004, unexpectedly at his home.
Don was born Mar 2, 1943, in Huntington, IN, son to the late Harold and Anna (Brandon) Harrison.
On May 24, 1974, he married Frances Swangin in Ft Wayne, IN, and she preceded him in death on Mar 13, 1996. He later married Mary Alice Barber in Battle Creek.
Don had served in the United States Navy.
He had made his home in Colon on Adams Lake since 1989, coming from Ft Wayne, IN. He was a jack of all trades and had worked many different jobs during his lifetime.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Alice Harrison, of Colon; step children, Karensa Uhrig of Street, MD, Patricia A Island of Rapid City, SD, Victor E Brown of Bethesda, OH, Cathrine L Clifton of Alexandria, VA, and Joseph M Brown of Bethesda, OH; sister, Alice Edmondson of Colon and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Linda Richards, and Betty Nickolsen, and brothers, Steve, Junior, Homer, Cecil, Jim, Fred, and E. William Harrison.
The family received relatives and friends on Tue, Aug 3 at the Schipper Funeral Home LTC in Colon. A graveside funeral service and burial will take place Wed, Aug 4, 2004, at 11 am at the Leonidas Cemetery in Leonidas, with Mr. David J Farrell officiating.
