Dolores was born in Flint, Jul 22, 1935 and graduated from Utley High School in 1953. Dolores met Charles Laney, the true love of her life in 1950. They were united in marriage in 1953 and lived an example of love and devotion for their 4 children for 59 years. Dolores retired from Dye Elementary School after 35 years of service. She was a beautiful lady, inside and out. She had a smile that lit up any room and in every way was a true example of how one should live their life. Dolores loved and lived her faith and passed that blessing on to her children. She was the most wonderful grandmother and had a special connection with each of her 8 grandchildren and truly cherished the time spent with her 4 great grandchildren. Dolores’s great capacity for love included her son in law and daughters in law who were loved and accepted as her own children. Dolores greatly believed in her family and her unconditional support could always be depended upon. Our family has been abundantly blessed with the presence of her in our lives. She will be deeply missed, but we rejoice in knowing that she will share a glorious everlasting life with Christ. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Charles, of Flint Township; her children: Connie and Tom Goggins, Johnny and Ronda Laney, Donald and Victoria Laney; grandchildren, Rob and Heather Polovina, Barry Cummings, Brent Goggins, Courtney and Scott Hubbs, Adrienne and Patrick Kane, KayLeigh Allen, Brianna Laney, and Brendan Laney; great grandchildren, mason Hubbs, Jackson Polovina, Wyatt Kane, and Quinn Hubbs.
