Lynk, DeVere-of Davison, age 91, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2001 at Lapeer Regional Hospital. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10 am Wednesday, November 28, 2001 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison, Rev. Fr. Andrew Czajkowski, Celebrant. Burial at Mt. Loretto Cemetery, Lapeer. Mr. Lynk will lie in state at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 E. Davison Rd, Davison, where the family will receive visitors 1-4 and 6-9 pm Tuesday. On Wednesday, Mr. Lynk will lie in state at the church 9am until the time of service. A rosary will be prayed at 7pm Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John Building Fund or a Mass in DeVere’s name. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Mr. Lynk was born in Otisville, MI on March 11, 1910, the son of Edward and Maude (Seeley) Lynk. DeVere Lynk married Mary Halpin on November 30, 1936 in Lapeer, MI. DeVere was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, and for many years, he was a Gleaner. He worked at Oakdale Center for 28 years. DeVere is survived by wife of 64 years, Mary; sister, Fern Goodrich of CA; sister, Dorothy Drowley of Lapeer; brother Donald (Ann) Lynk of Lapeer, sister, Mary (Donald) Vroman of Bonita Beach, FL. Nephew, Donald Goodrich of CA; niece, Sandra Congdon of Lapeer. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dr. Stanley Lynk; sister, Marguerite and brother-in-laws, Ed, George, and Max.
