Demetrios J "Jim" Kiriacopoulos, 82, of Traverse City, died Mon afternoon, Jan 8, 2007, at Munson Medical Center.
Born Dec 17, 1924, in Koroni, Greece, he was the son of the late John and Angela Kyriakopoulos. On Oct 23, 1966, in Kalkaska, he married the former Nancy L Burke.
Jim worked as a Head Chef at the Traverse City Holiday Inn for 18 years, a job he thoroughly enjoyed. He also enjoyed gardening and working on his truck.
Jim is survived by his wife, Nancy L Kiriacopoulos of Traverse City; three daughters, Janet M Kiriacopoulos of Traverse City, Nikki L (Mark E) Mitchell of Kingsley, and Andrea L (Colin G) Seaberg of Cedarburg, WI; four brothers, Fred Kyriakopoulos of Mount Prospect, IL, Chris (Pam) Kyriakopoulos, George (Stavrula) Kyriakopoulos, and Gus Kyriakopoulos all of Koroni, Greece; sister, Andrianna (Spiros) Dimitrakopoulos of Toronto, Canada; grandchildren, Connor and Destiny Mitchell of Kingsley and Alayna and Chase Seaberg of Cedarburg, WI.
In addition to his parents, Jim was also preceded in death by a sister, Maria.
Cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time.
Arrangements were made with the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
