Mrs. Della Wineman, 62, of Flint, a former Traverse City area resident, died early Wed at Flint Hurley Hospital after a long illness.
She was born Mar 4, 1904 in the Flint area. In 1945 she moved to Summit City. She made her home in the Traverse City area until 1962. Since then she resided in Flint.
For many years she was employed as a cook at James Decker Munson Hospital and later was in charge of the housekeeping department at the Park Place Hotel.
She is survived by her husband Roy; four sons, Clyde Flinn of San Francisco, Robert Flinn, Douglas Flinn and Milton Flinn all of Flint; three daughters, Mrs. William (Joyce) Kehl of Flint, Mrs. William (Myrtle) Brimmer of Traverse City and Mrs. Duane (Mary Jo) Wilson of Grand Blanc; four stepsons, Charles Wineman of Colorado Springs, Colo., Alva Wineman of Otisville, David Wineman of Grawn and James Wineman of Flint; a brother Robert Stark; two sisters, Mrs. Francis (Mary) Wilcox and Mrs. James (Ruth) Groulx of Flint; 43 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; and an aunt Mrs. Anna Wellman of Millington.
Mrs. Wineman was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Newcombe in 1963.
Funeral services will be held Sat at 2pm at the Lang Robinson funeral home in Otisville. Other arrangements are incomplete.
