Debra Kay Cole, age 60, of Hilldale, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013 at her home. She was born April 29, 1953 in Detroit to William G. and Alice B. (Craddock) Cole.
Deb graduated from Walled Lake High School in 1971 and she was a member of the U.S. Navy. She was formerly employed as a journeyman machinist at Allied Manufacturing in Hillsdale and most recently at the Hilldale Daily News. Deb loved animals, especially horses and great danes. She was proud of living her life as an independent woman, including remodeling her own home and working as a journeyman machinist.
Deb is survived by a daughter, Jane Cole and Wayne Bradley of Concord; two grandchildren, Alicen F and Emylei K Bradley; a sister, Barbara (Robert) Schulz of Mt. Morris, Michigan; a brother, W. Jerald “Jerry” (Mary Ann) Cole of Phoenix, AZ and very close friends.
Deb was preceded in death by her parents.
There will be no services or calling hours for Deb Cole at this time. A memorial gathering will take place at a later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale.
