David Wilbur Taylor, 65, passed away Tuesday evening at his home surrounded by his family.
David was born Jan 21, 1952, in Wilson County to Vira Howell Taylor and the late George Wilbur Taylor. He will be remembered as a great diesel mechanic that loved working on and repairing trucks. Following his retirement David started a lawn care business where he spent many hours outdoors taking care of his customers lawn care needs. When he wasn’t busy working he enjoyed taking trips with his family to the mountains and sailing away on cruises. Family was very important to David and he enjoyed all the time he was able to spend with them.
The family will receive friends on Fri, Dec 29, 2017 from 6 pm until 7 pm at Kenly Funeral Service followed by a service to celebrate his life at 7 pm in the chapel with the Rev Dennis Pollock and Rev David Kriger officiating.
In addition to his mother, David is survived by his wife of twenty eight years, Cindy Caputo Taylor; daughter, Erin Farley; stepsons, Eddie Coates, Heath Coates, and Wesley Coates; grandchildren, Sophia Farley, Samantha Coates, Tyler Coates, Jack Coates, and Sean Coates; brother, Marty Taylor, and sister, Phyllis Davis and husband Mickey; and his special K-9 companions, Prissy and Lady.
