David W. Mann, 58, of Kalkaska, died Thu, Oct 10, 1996, at his residence.
Mr. Mann resided in Butternut until 1973, when he moved to Kalkaska. He was employed as a foreman for Amoco Production Company until 1988, and then worked as a corrections officer at the Kalkaska County Jail until the time of his death. He was a member of The Peoples Church, and enjoyed gardening, flying, sailing, and the outdoors.
Mr. Mann was born in Butternut on Sep 3, 1938, to George and Helen Hatfield Mann. He married June Graham in Muskegon on Aug 25, 1962.
Surviving are his wife, June; three daughters, Kelly (Kevin) Park and Michelle Mann both of Kalkaska, and Kristi Mann of Detroit; one brother Richard Mann of Carson City; his mother in law, Opal Graham of Kalkaska; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one infant son, his parents, and his stepmother, Ethel June Mann.
Funeral services were held Sun, Oct 13, 1996, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Paul Karges pastor of The Peoples Church, officiated.
Burial was in Excelsior Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County. The Kalkaska County Sheriff's Department served as an honor guard.
