David Timothy Stacy, of Buckley, passed away Monday, August 26, 2013, at his home surrounded by family. He was 64.
He was born October 26, 1948, in Brown City, to the late George and Betty (Clapsaddle) Stacy. Dave was a graduate of Brown City High School in 1968. On May 17, 2002, he married Leila Black.
Dave had a love of music. He sang and played guitar for many years in his youth. He began working for Chef Pierre in Traverse City in 1976 and retired from Sara Lee after 36 years in 2012. Dave enjoyed the outdoors and spent his free time camping, hunting, and cruising the back roads.
Dave is survived by his wife of 11 years, Leila; daughters: Valerie (Bob) Marr of Cadillac, Selena Stedman of Holland, Chastity (Bob Segoria) Stedman of Bristol, Ind., and Amanda Gonzales of Goshen, Ind.; grandchildren; Jordan, Levi, Nevaeh, and Hunter; sisters Carolyn Thomas of Carsonville and Susan (Dale Mooring) Stacy of Fife Lake; brother, Stephen (Lorie) Stacy of Fife Lake; and his best canine pal Tippy.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Russell Stacy.
Cremation has taken place and a private memorial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given in Dave’s honor to Munson Hospice in Traverse City.
