David S Swathwood, 60, of 611 N Superior St, Albion, died Sun at his home from a heart ailment.
He was born in Bluffton, IN, a son of Orlo and Anne Swathwood. On May 23, 1923, he was married to Eva Shepard in Grand Ledge. They came to Albion in Oct 1927. He was employed in the offices of the McDougal and Young Coal Co. for the past 25 years and as a Sunday school superintendent and a teacher of the Baraca Class. He was a past master of Murat Lodge No 14, F & AM. Surviving are his wife, Eva; a son Keith of Albion; four grandchildren; three brothers, Paul of Lansing, Donald of Grand Ledge and James of Mason; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Pierce of Charlotte, and Mrs. Tina Hunter and Mrs. Ruth Wright both of Lansing.
