Dan I. Morgan, 77, of 7983 Avoca Road, died Saturday, May 8, 1982, in Yale Community Hospital after a long illness.
He was born Feb. 16, 1905, in Brown City, and lived in Acoca most of his life. He married Florence Armstrong Aug 23, 1952, in Port Huron.
Mr. Morgan was a retired farmer. He was a past master of Brockway Lodge 316, F & AM. He was a member of the Avoca United Methodist Church, Lexington Commandry and the St. Clair County Farm Bureau.
He is survived by his wife; three stepsons, Donald Armstrong, Yale, and Ray and Jack Armstrong, both of Avoca; a step-daughter, Mrs. Robert (Marge) Watson, Avoca; two brothers, Alvin, Avoca and Burn, Goodells; three sisters, Mrs. Florence Lawrence, California, Mrs. Olive Gerds, Oscoda, and Mrs. Nevabelle Mason, Avoca; 10 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Rister Funeral Home. The Rev. Darrel Tallman pastor of the Avoca Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Ruby Cemetery.
Visiting is from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Memorials may be made to the church.
