Dale E. Minick, 67. of Rapid City, passed away October 31,2002, at Munson Medical Center in the presence of his family.
Dale was born in Willis, Dec. 3. 1934, to Ormund and Eleanor (Elka) Minick.
Dale attended Cleary College where he met and later married Katherine Morris. Together they continued to live in Willis until 1966, when they fulfilled a dream by moving to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. They remained there until 1971 when they moved to Rapid City. Dale was the founder of Sugar Camp Incorporated. His passion was photography, particularly that of fine art and nature.
Dale is survived by his wife; children Rebekah (Dan) Erving of Buckley, Colleen (Larry) Koper of Waterford, Mark Minick of Rapid City, Matthew (Keli) Minick of Traverse City; brother Merlyn (Audrey) Minick of Milan; and grandchildren Sarah (Paul) Wilcoxen, Joanne Erving, Edward Minick, Joel and Amanda Koper, and Katie Vieracker.
He was preceded in death by is parents.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Sat., Nov. 23, 2002 at the Little Red School House on River Street in Rapid City, where friends may call at the time of the service. The Rev. Donald McCash will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Lung Association.
The family is being served by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City.
