Cynthia L Lee of Lake City passed away, peacefully after a long battle, May 7, 2008, at Trillium Woods in Byron Center. Mrs. Lee was 60 years old.
Cindy was born Jul 9, 1947, in Fremont, OH to Norman and Irene (Bennett) Gephart. She married Paul J Lee on Aug 15, 1970, in South Boardman.
She graduated from Kalkaska High School in 1965, and received her degree in registered nursing from Butterworth Hospital School of Nursing in Grand Rapids in 1970. She also completed a course in Emergency Room Training.
She was employed as a registered nurse for 36 years.
She was a leader in 4-H, Girl and Boy Scouts, and led an after school Bible Club.
She was a member of the Lake City United Methodist Church and very active in church. She was also a member of the Copper Country Parish Nurses.
She is survived by her husband Paul; three children: Stephen Lee and fiance Karen Tortora of Brooklyn, NY, Loretta (Tom) Jahncke of Wyoming, MI, and Karen at home.
Two brothers: John (Bennie) Gephart of Hawaii, and Norman Richard (Pam) Gephart of South Boardman; two sisters, Rebecca (Charles) Goodman of Lake City and Julia Gephart of Iron River.
Three grandchildren: Josiah, Caleb, and Peter Johncke.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother: William and sister, Nancy.
Funreal services were Mon, May 12, 2008 at 11 am at the Lake City United Methodist Church with Rev. Edrye Maurer officiating.
Visitation was Sun, May 11 from 5 to 8 pm at the Young Funeral Home in Lake City.
Burial will be in the Lake City Cemetery.
