Clyde W. Jolly, 60, of 303 E. Melendy St, died Fri at his home after an illness of one month.
He was born October 25, 1903 in Grand Traverse County, where he grew up and attended school. He was married February 2, 1925 in Cadillac to Rose Mary Hurlburt, who survives.
He was employed in Muskegon from 1941 to 1948, moving to Ludington in 1948. Since that time he had been an oiler on the C&O trainferries and at the present time, was working No 32. He was a member of the National Maritime Union.
Surviving besides his wife, are five sons, Charles A of Fruitport, Clyde Jr. of Route 2, Ludington, Darrell E, and Douglas C. of Manitowoc, and Gerald of Ludington; four daughters, Mrs. Jeffe (Larna) Wilcoxson of Hastings, Mrs. Robert (Maxine) Bennett and Mrs. John (Ida) Katzenback, both of Muskegon, and Mrs. Marshall (Virginia) Blount of Hastings; a brother, Henry of Flint; two sisters, Mrs. Claudia Olson of Howard City and Mrs. Catherine Snell of Grand Rapids; 26 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
