Clyde Roger Sheets, 61, of Kalkaska, died Sun, Jan 20, 2002, at his home. He was born on Nov 12, 1940, in Mt Pleasant, the son of Clyde and Frances (Taylor) Sheets.
He graduated from Mt Pleasant High School in 1958. He was a businessman and an inventor, and a resident of Kalkaska since 1971.
Clyde is survived by his children, Clyde R (April Watkins) Sheets of Pacifica, CA, Rebecca J (Guy) Hursh of Traverse City, Deward R (Theresa) Sheets of Lansing; stepchildren Roger (Jeanelle) Fox of Clair, Sandy (Jim) Brooks of AZ, Carol (Mike) Fox of Gary, IN, Tim (Donna) Fox of Rapid City, Scott (Lynne) Morrison of Rapid City, Brian (Lori) Morrison of Travese City and Lori (Bob) Korson of Traverse City; his mother, Frances Sheets of Mt Pleasant; his brother Gilbert (Barb) Sheets of Lake City; 22 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Clyde was preceded in death by his father, Clyde William Sheets, and his son, James R Sheets, in 1961.
A memorial service was held Jan 23 at Memorial Gardens in Mt Pleasant.
Arrangements were made by the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska.
