Clyde "Stanley" Kies, 85, of Kalkaska passed away on Sun, Feb 29, 2004 at his home.
He was born on Apr 22, 1918, in Botkins, OH, the son of Charles and Bertha Meyrl (Gates) Kies.
Stan was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and loved woodworking, carpentry, farming, and his family.
Stan is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mabel V. Kies; his children, John (Jill) Kies of Kalkaska, Jerry (Anita) Kies of Kalkaska, Jean (Gregory) Grinnell of Gaylord and Joan (Victor) Turnipseed of Kalkaska; eight grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Stan was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Grace Kerber and Evelyn Grody.
A memorial service will be held Wed, Mar 3, 2004, at the St Paul Lutheran Church in Kalkaska.
Arrangements were made by Wolfe Funeral Home.
