Clyde H. Winchester, 72, a resident of Wayland for the last year, died in Plainwell Thur.
He was former superintendent of Lamar Pipe & Tile Co. of Grand Rapids for several years. He left Grand Rapids in 1931 to move to Cadillac, where he owned and operated Winchester Concrete Pipe Co. for 15 years until he sold out in 1946.
Winchester was affiliated with Church of God, Gideons and Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife, Gertrude; three sons, Glen of Cadillac, Edward of Caledonia, and John of Algonquin, IL; three daughters, Mrs. Wilma Wiltzer, and Mrs. Leona Fuller both of Cadillac, and Mrs. Mildred Knoll of Howard City; two brothers, Ova of Shelbyville and Walter of Hopkins; one sister, Mrs. Adelette Treat of Corinth; 22 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 3 Sun at the Archer Funeral Home. The body will be taken to Maple Hill Cemetery, Cadillac, for burial services at 2 Mon.
