Clarence R. Rowden, 70, of Kalkaska, died Thu, Sep 10, 1992 at Tendercare of Traverse City.
Mr. Rowden moved to the Kalkaska area 20 years ago from Garden City, following his retirement as a cutter grinder. He served in the U.S. Army during WW2, and was a member of the Garden City Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed fishing.
Mr. Rowden was born in Detroit on Nov 30, 1921, son of the late Ernest and Alice Thornton Rowden.
Surviving are his stepmother, hazel Rowden of Pontiac; one brother, Edward Rowden of Davisburg; two stepbrothers, Orville Rowden of Port Richey, FL, and Ward Rowden of Ortonville; one stepsister, Dorothy Michael of Pontiac; five nieces and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Eugene, Glen, Matthew, Floyd, and Lloyd Rowden; and one stepbrother, Clyde Rowden.
Funeral services were held Wed, Sep 15, 1992 at the John Santieu & Son Funeral Home in Garden City. Rev. Gary Damon officiated. Burial was in Cadillac Memorial Gardens West in Westland.
