Clarence L Osborne, 75, of Coldsprings Township, Kalkaska County, died Tue, Mar 5, 1991 at his home, following an extended illness. Mr. Osborne had retired from Contract Carriage as a truck driver in 1972. Following his retirement he moved from Pontiac to Mancelona.
He was a veteran of WWII, serving with the U.S. Army, and was very active in the Antrim County Senior Citizens Center.
He was a member of the Mancelona Moose Lodge 2254, where he served as governor, and was Past Master and a member of the Mancelona Lodge 375 F.&A.M., the Elona-Columbia Chapter 99 O.E.S, and was a member of the George Pickett Post 264 of the American Legion.
Osborne was born in Gladwin on Nov 25, 1915 to Jacob and Ruby (Proper) Osborne.
In Flint on Aug 19, 1933, he was married to Aline Wolpert, who survives him.
Also surviving are two daughters, Nancy Martin of Mancelona, Mary Blackburn of Rochester, MI; one son, Robert Osborne, of Kalkaska; 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; one brother, James Osborne, of Flint.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Albert, three sisters, Betty McField, Clara Gallard, and Helen Stadler.
Funeral services were held on Fri, Mar 8 at the Paulling Funeral Home in Mancelona with Rev. David McCool officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona.
Memorial services were held on Mar 7 at the Paullin Funeral Home under the auspices of the Mancelona Moose Lodge and the Mancelona Masonic Lodge.
