Clarence J Hebert, 83, of Kalkaska, died Tue, Nov 16, 1999, at his residence.
Mr. Hebert resided in Mount Clemens until 1981, when he moved to Kalkaska County. He was employed as a rose grower prior to his retirement, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing pool. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and was a life member of Land O'Lakes VFW Post 8684 and St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church.
Born in Bayfield, WI, on Jan 8, 1916, he is the son of the late Fred and Margaret Grant Hebert. On Dec 10, 1941, he married Lucille Morrin, ho survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by son John Hebert of Eastpointe; daughters, Eileen (Howard) Denryter of Sterling Heights, Mary (Russell) Chambers of Vacaville, CA, and Linda (Jere) Brown of Lake Ann; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Three sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.
Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Nov 22 at St Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Kalkaska; Father Jim Holtz officiated.
Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery with military rites under the auspices of Land O'Lakes VFW Post 8684.
