Clara A. Marshall, 89, of Kalkaska, died Mon, Aug 12, 1996, at her residence with her family at her side.
Mrs. Marshall had been a lifelong resident of the Kalkaska area, and worked as a waitress and bait farmer. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Born in Kalkaska on Feb 16, 1907, she was the daughter of Samuel and Cora Morris Kriesher. On Mar 20, 1923, in Ionia, she married Carlton Marshall who preceded her in death in 1968.
Surviving are one daughter, Esther Miles of Kalkaska; one sister, Zora Richardson of Kalkaska; three grandchildren, Rex of Kalkaska, Gaylord (Marge) Tif of Wyoming, and Ardith Denise (Bob) Tatro of Hardy Dam, Newaygo; five great grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services were held Wed, Aug 14, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Paul Karges, pastor of The Peoples Church, officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
