Mrs. Chrystal J. Davis, 83, of Kalkaska, died Thu, Feb 13, 1997, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mrs. Davis moved to Kalkaska from Livonia. She was a homemaker, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Livonia.
Born in Whittemore on May 15, 1913, the daughter of Shelley and Violet Boomer Sweet. On Jun 3, 1929, in Detroit, she married Clifford Davis who preceded her in death on Nov 10, 1969.
Surviving are son William Davis of Royal Oak; daughters, Marie Newsted and Nancy Root both of Kalkaska; brother Lyle Sweet of Traverse City; sister Faye Gerber of FL; 20 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren; and 14 nieces and nephews.
A son, James, and a sister, Maurine Risner, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Sunday at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Paul Karges, pastor of The Peoples Church, officiated. Committal services were held Monday at Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia.
